Glossary (initial)

  • Random bot: Autonomous bot managed by RandomPlayerbotMgr (not tied to a master).
  • Random bot account: An account flagged as RNDbot (account type 1) used to host random bot characters.
  • AddClass account: An account flagged as AddClass (account type 2) used for AddClass bots.
  • Alt bot account: An account used for master-controlled “alt” characters, typically tied to a single real player.
  • BotState: The bot AI mode that selects which engine runs (combat, non-combat, or dead).
  • Combat / Non-combat / Dead engine: The three decision engines built for a bot and switched based on BotState.
  • AiFactory: Factory that builds AiObjectContext and the default engines/strategies for a bot.
  • PlayerbotAIConfig: Central configuration class that loads server-side settings for the playerbot system.
  • PlayerbotHolder: Base container that stores and tracks active bot players.
  • PlayerbotFactory: Helper that creates and configures bot characters (gear, talents, inventories, etc.).
  • RandomPlayerbotFactory: Factory dedicated to creating random bot accounts/characters and balancing population.
  • Strategy: A behavior bundle registered into an Engine (e.g., combat or non‑combat).
  • Action: A single executable behavior chosen by the Engine (cast, move, loot, etc.).
  • Trigger: A condition that selects which action should run.
  • Value: A data provider used by triggers/actions (cached computation).
  • Engine: The decision dispatcher that runs strategies, evaluates triggers, and executes actions.
  • Context (AiObjectContext): Factory + registry for actions, triggers, values, and strategies.
  • RPG / New RPG: Autonomous “roleplay” logic for random bots (wandering, quests, travel, grinding).
  • RPG target: The current world object or position selected for RPG behavior.
  • TravelMgr: Manager that computes travel destinations and routes for bots.
  • Travel target: The current destination used by travel logic (quests, flight paths, RPG locations).
  • LFG: Looking For Group system integration for bot grouping and dungeon participation.
  • BG (Battleground): PvP battleground participation system used by bots.
  • Arena team: Random bot arena team infrastructure used to populate PvP arenas.
  • AutoGear: Automated gear selection/upgrade logic for bot characters.
